KD87 ex Oloroso/Laphroaig Finish

Our newest Laphroaig finish whisky release sat in a 100L Oloroso sherry barrel for 5 years before being finished in an ex-Laphroaig barrel for six weeks.

The Oloroso barrel favours the nose, giving sweet, nutty characteristics and notes of raspberry jam, quince paste, fresh leather and lemon thyme, while the Laphroaig barrel comes through on the palate with the peated smoky notes balanced by notes of scotch fingers, prunes and dark chocolate.

The end result being a moreish, bold and rounded whisky with an excellent mouth-feel that covers the whole palate, and a complex finish that stays with you long after the last sip.

With your choice of either cask strength or the Distiller’s choice of ABV, there is a version to please every smoky whisky lover.
